The Avengers

‘The Avengers’ is the latest superhero flick. Rather, there are quite a few of our favorite superheroes all bundled into one movie. I have a confession to make here. I haven’t seen any of their individual movies. ‘The Hulk’, ‘Thor’, ‘The Ironman’, ‘Captain America’. I haven’t an inkling what any of these were about. Yeah, I know. I must have been living under a rock all these years. But things changed with ‘The Avengers’ as I happened to catch it on the big screen. And it was brilliant.
There was the ultimate fight for the survival of the planet. And we had all these amazing superheroes with their incredible powers. There was The Ironman, who was also always ready with a funny quip. The Hulk was kept restrained for much of the movie but unleashed during the final battle. And man, did he know how to smash stuff. Captain America was ever present with his iconic shield. Hawkeye was on the wrong side for much of the movie but was saved just in time by the Black Widow for the final battle. The Black Widow herself was ever agile and dangerous. And there was Thor, the demi-God, who had such a powerful presence.
Loki, Brother of Thor, was the evil guy. In possession of the Tesserect, he was aiming to rule over earth. And in the end, it took quite a lot to overcome him and his army.

It’s an awesome movie. It really is. A bit on the longer side, running for almost two and a half hours. But you wouldn’t care. Gripping action, scintillating graphics and a cast of immortal characters. ‘The Avengers’ is one movie you wouldn’t want to miss.
