Easy Pepperoni Pizza Recipe on 'National Pepperoni Pizza Day'

If you're craving for a classic pepperoni pizza but don't want to go through the hassle of ordering takeout, you're in luck! Here's a recipe for an Easy Pepperoni Pizza that will help you save money and enjoy a homemade treat.

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough: You can opt for store-bought dough or make your own. If you're making your own, all you need is flour, water, salt, yeast and some olive oil.

Pizza Sauce: You can use a store-bought sauce, or make a simple one at home. Just blend together tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, and a pinch of salt.

Mozzarella Cheese: Freshly grated mozzarella cheese.

Pepperoni Slices: The star of the show!

Olive Oil: Drizzle over the pizza for the perfect golden crust.

Fresh Basil: Add some fresh basil leaves as a garnish for a burst of freshness and color.

Method:

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). A high temperature is needed for achieving that crispy, golden crust.

Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface into your desired shape and thickness. Whether you prefer a thin and crispy crust or a thick and chewy one.

Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce evenly over your rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

Now, it's time to cover that saucy canvas with a thick layer of freshly grated mozzarella cheese. Don't be shy; the more cheese, the better!

Place pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.

Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the pizza to enhance its flavor and give the crust that irresistible golden touch. If you have fresh basil leaves, add them as a finishing touch.

Carefully transfer your pizza onto a baking sheet and slide it into the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

Once your Easy Pepperoni Pizza is out of the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice it into delectable portions. Enjoy!

Hope Aur Hum

Recently came across this movie and seeing Naseeruddin Shah in the starring role, had to give this one a try. The plot promised a light and fun film...and it delivered. Sweet and warm, 'Hope aur hum' has some pretty good moments throughout.
The movie tells a tale of one family...actually encompasses three generations of it. Naseeruddin Shah plays the 'Dadu' who is extremely attached to his (very old) photocopy machine. He calls the machine Mr. Soennecken endearingly. And even though the machine is no longer working well, he doesn't want to let go as it connects him to his past. That much is revealed as he fondly recalls how the whole neighborhood had lined up to see when he had first brought 'Mr. Soennecken' home. He thinks Mr. Soennecken is an artist and the photocopies a work of art.
As the old photocopy machine takes up a whole room and doesn't even work anymore, Dadu is under pressure to let it go so that his grand child, Tanu, can have a study room. Tanu and Anu are the two grandchildren and completely understand the feelings of Dadu for Mr. Soennecken. Tanu helps out by looking for the lens' replacement online so the old machine might start working again. She helps out Dadu by sending emails to the concerned companies. And Anu is quite the star of the movie. Always ready for the next mischief and crazy about cricket, his antics are adorable throughout. Quite close to Dadu, the two have some very meaningful exchanges.
The movie is about how hard it is to let go of things, especially when they connect you to the brighter past. But as Dadu remembers an advice towards the end, one should become attached to people and not things. The movie is also about destiny and how you can't really control it. Also, it's about facing off one's fears and overcoming them rather than avoiding.
I quite enjoyed it. There were some pretty nice moments and some dialogues quite deep and meaningful. Do give it a watch.

Supernatural: Season 8 Episode 1

And Dean is back from Purgatory! The Season 8 Premiere takes us one year on from where we saw Dean disappear with Dick at the end of Season 7. Understandably so, he is in a pretty wild state.

Meanwhile, we see Sam saying goodbye to his dog and leaving behind a sleeping girl as he takes the Impala in the night. The two brothers meet and it is sort of a routine matter between the two. However, things heat up when Sam reveals to Dean that he quit hunting after Dean disappeared. What is even more startling for Dean is that Sam never tried looking for his brother. Dean is a little pissed off, to say the least.
Dean switches on the mobile phones that Sam had stashed away. He listens to multiple voice messages by Kevin, the kid Prophet. The brothers decide to track him down as he was their responsibility. The search takes them to Michigan, where Kevin’s girlfriend is attending college.
We see flashbacks of how the year had been for both brothers. Dean apparently got out of Purgatory with the help of a vampire. And he brought the vampire back into the world as part of the deal. Cass didn’t make it out of Purgatory. When Sam asks Dean if he saw Cass die, Dean replies that he saw enough. Who knows, maybe we’ll see Cass return some time later on in the season.
Sam hit a dog and brought him to a veterinarian hospital. The dog sustains injuries and the doctor shames Sam into taking the dog with him. So we took a sneak peek into how Dean and Sam spent the past year and how things came to be how they are.
Coming back to the present, the brothers manage to locate Kevin. Kevin reveals how Crowley wanted to use him to read another one of God’s words. The tablet contained writings related to demons. Kevin managed to fool Crowley at the time and escaped. He tells Dean and Sam that the tablet shows how to close off the doors of Hell forever. Needless to say, the brothers decide on the spot to take Kevin to the tablet. However, there are some unexpected guests. Demons.
Crowley tries to take away Kevin but fails. Now, Dean, Sam and Kevin are on their way to finding the tablet. Dean gets a phone call from the vampire-aide at the end of the episode. Looks like he’ll be causing a few problems down the road.

How I Met Your Mother: Season 8 Episode 1

Season 8 finally took off and it looks like the much-awaited identity of Ted’s bride will finally be revealed. The season premiere ended with the lady approaching the place she finally encounters Ted (it certainly looks like the place J). However, a huge yellow umbrella hides her from plain view. Let’s see when she makes an appearance again.
First things first though. The season finale from the seventh season had confirmed that Barney and Robin do end up having a wedding. We get just a glimpse of the pre-wedding jitters and then we are taken into the past again. Back to where Barney and Quinn have just gotten engaged and Lily and Marshall are proud parents.
Baby Marvin has arrived and the new parents are quite a sight. Sleep-deprived, they let slip in front of Quinn the one thing Barney had been keeping from her. Quinn is a little perturbed when she finds out that Barney and Robin had dated but relaxes when Robin tells the gang about this new boyfriend she has.

The touching moment comes when Robin opens the storage box that Barney has kept hidden somewhere. In it are all the mementos from the time the two had dated and it is very clear that Robin still has feelings for Barney and misses their time together.
Meanwhile, Ted learns an important lesson. Remember, he and Victoria drove off into the sunset in the season finale. Well, Ted convinces Victoria to at least leave a farewell note to the groom. Things twist a little and there are some funny moments. However, Ted gets some sound advice from the groom, Klaus (who was also running off from the wedding actually!). And Klaus’s words help Ted realize that Victoria might not be the girl he has been waiting for.

Cocktail

I have to say, I enjoyed this one. Then again, maybe I was watching a Bollywood flick after too long and overlooked the negative aspects. Anyway, the movie’s gotten quite a few good reviews from people I know.
So what’s it about? There’s a guy and two girls. Let’s see, perfect recipe for a love triangle and all the typical drama that unfolds afterwards. But it still seemed different. Throw in a pinch of friendship and see how that changes things.
Veronica is your typical rich girl who is living the high life. No idea where her parents are, but she gets a fat check to fulfill all her needs. And so she takes Meera in to help her. Meera arrives from India only to find out that her husband doesn’t want anything to do with her. And there is Gautam who is a happy-go-lucky guy. Rarely serious, he starts seeing Veronica and moves in with her too. And so the three embark on a beautiful friendship. There is fun and frolic all the time.
Boman Irani plays an apt ‘maama jee’ and is quite funny. And it is the entry of Dimple Kapadia as Gautam’s very-Indian mom that puts the dents in the threesome’s lives.
Gautam and Meera fall for each other and Veronica gets left out. This may sound typical enough but “Cocktail” managed to weave a new magic into the same old story. And the music never let down. The soundtrack is actually pretty good.
So there it is then. Highly recommended for a good time. “Cocktail” will give you just the right mix of funny quips and good music, adding a big splash of good old friendship to all the other ingredients.

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted

This latest offering of the Madagascar series was a much anticipated one. And for the fans, it didn’t disappoint. For others, I came across one comment describing it as a little too childish. But I believe the consensus is that it is pretty funny.

Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman take off from Africa, desired destination being New York of course. However, as always, things don’t go exactly as planned. And they end up landing in Monte Carlo. From there starts their adventure in Europe.
