Easy Pepperoni Pizza Recipe on 'National Pepperoni Pizza Day'

If you're craving for a classic pepperoni pizza but don't want to go through the hassle of ordering takeout, you're in luck! Here's a recipe for an Easy Pepperoni Pizza that will help you save money and enjoy a homemade treat.

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough: You can opt for store-bought dough or make your own. If you're making your own, all you need is flour, water, salt, yeast and some olive oil.

Pizza Sauce: You can use a store-bought sauce, or make a simple one at home. Just blend together tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, and a pinch of salt.

Mozzarella Cheese: Freshly grated mozzarella cheese.

Pepperoni Slices: The star of the show!

Olive Oil: Drizzle over the pizza for the perfect golden crust.

Fresh Basil: Add some fresh basil leaves as a garnish for a burst of freshness and color.

Method:

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). A high temperature is needed for achieving that crispy, golden crust.

Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface into your desired shape and thickness. Whether you prefer a thin and crispy crust or a thick and chewy one.

Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce evenly over your rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

Now, it's time to cover that saucy canvas with a thick layer of freshly grated mozzarella cheese. Don't be shy; the more cheese, the better!

Place pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.

Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the pizza to enhance its flavor and give the crust that irresistible golden touch. If you have fresh basil leaves, add them as a finishing touch.

Carefully transfer your pizza onto a baking sheet and slide it into the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

Once your Easy Pepperoni Pizza is out of the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice it into delectable portions. Enjoy!
